involved in local life

Taking action for our regions
Committing to revitalizing our regions is an integral part of our mission as an economic and social player in local life. Beyond our industrial activities, our role extends to supporting communities and initiatives that promote responsible and sustainable development.
Contributing to the economic, social, and environmental development of the communities around us is at the heart of our mission. True to our commitments, in 2025 we launched an ambitious industrial tourism project at our historic Carrières du Boulonnais site in Ferques (62). This unique initiative on the Opal Coast offers a total immersion in the heart of the quarry, allowing visitors to discover our expertise, our role in the local economy, and our environmental commitment.
In the interests of transparency and dialogue, we regularly organize visits to our sites for the general public, elected officials, and local residents. These meetings provide an opportunity to explain our activities, share our practices, and raise awareness of environmental issues. Schools are also invited to explore the world of aggregates and discover the jobs of tomorrow.
Our commitment to the environment and local life is reflected in concrete actions of patronage and sponsorship in the cultural, educational, environmental, and sporting fields.
Whether supporting sporting initiatives, hosting artistic events, or assisting with educational projects, we affirm our desire to actively contribute to the vitality of local communities. This commitment is a key part of the CB Group's Aggregates DNA.

The Transmanche Geopark: A Unique Cross-Border Adventure
The Transmanche Geopark is a unique initiative, led bythe Caps et Marais d’Opale Regional Nature Park in France and the Kent Downs National Landscape, another nature park in England.
Together, they aim to obtain the prestigious UNESCO Global Geopark designation. This project reflects a shared desire to reconnect with and celebrate a shared heritage. The cross-border initiative makes perfect sense: northern France and southern England share the same geological history. 450,000 years ago, a massive flood separated the chalk hills that once connected our two regions, forming the English Channel. But that chalk is still there, visible in the cliffs on either side of the sea and also buried beneath it
Eight thousand years ago, it was still possible to walk from Dover to Calais. Today, the Channel Tunnel, dug through the same chalk, connects us once again. The Geopark aims to tell this shared story, weaving together nature, landscapes, and shared memories.

CB Group Aggregates is partnering with the Transmanche Geopark
Through Carrières du Boulonnais, an economic partner and geosite manager, we help promote and preserve a remarkable geological heritage.
Rooted in the heart of an iconic industrial site, we strive to balance performance, education, and environmental preservation. This commitment is reflected in particular through the opening of our sites, public outreach, and our participation in a cross-border initiative for sustainable tourism.
An approach that fully reflects our belief: to use our business as a means of fostering knowledge, sharing, and promoting the unique assets of our region.
