The aggregates business of the CB Group produces materials for the industry (steel, lime, sugar, glass, animal feed...), for construction (ready-mix concrete, prefabrication) and for public works.

CARRIÈRES DU BOULONNAIS North of France 

The Ferques quarry produces and sells 6 million tonnes of limestone aggregates every year. A network of 3 multimodal distribution platforms supplied from Ferques complements this company facilities in the greater Paris region. 

In 1896, the Carrières du Boulonnais site in Ferqes started marble quarrying operations. Today, it is the biggest open-pit single quarry in France. It has a limestone rock deposit that has the physical and chemical characteristics to meet the needs of the construction and industry sectors. Visean limestone is very pure and has a very high calcium carbonate content (>99%).

With over 100 years of reserves, Carrières du Boulonnais obtained a renewal of its licence to operate the quarry in 2008 for 30 years within the limit of 12 million tonnes evenry year. The authorised perimeter is 500 hectares to a depth of 120 metres. Carrières du Boulonnais supllies the North of France, Normandy, Greater Paris and export market. 

 

CARRIÈRES DU BASSIN DE LA SAMBRE  (CBS) – North of France

Located in Limont-Fontain it produces 600.000 tonnes of limestone aggregates every year. 

 

CARRIÈRES BLANC – Rhone Alpes 

Carrières Blanc comprises 3 quarries in the locations of Izernore, Champdor and Hauteville producing 800.000 tonnes of limestone aggregates every year. 

 

MINÉRAUX INDUSTRIELS DU QUEBEC – Canada

Company set up partnership with the Quebec family run group Bauval.

 

CARRIÈRES MC INNIS – Canada

Located in Quebec and in partnership with Ciment MC Innis, the quarry will supply the cement factory with 3,200,000 tonnes of limestone aggregates every year. 

 

YPREMA-CB – Greater Paris Region 

Carrières du Boulonnais has developed a partnership to receive and sell recycled materials with YPREMA in Mitry-Mory, Limay and Rieux.

 

CB2M – North of France

In participation with the Belgian Group Deme, CBD processes and sells marine aggreagates at its port facilities in Dunkirk and Boulogne-sur-Mer.

 

TRAILSID – North of France

In participation with the American Group Phoenix, the Dunkirk recycling unit process and sells crystallised slag from the local steel plants as well as aggregates from the construction and demolition waste. 

 

CENTRAVENIR – Brittany

Centravenir is an ornamental rock and aggregate quarry of granite located in Lanhelin.
